微軟關(guān)于IE8 Beta1的介紹頁面 根據(jù)之前的介紹，IE8瀏覽器有三種渲染模式，其中一種是支持目前的web標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，第二種方案則是針對執(zhí)行方面遇到問題的網(wǎng)頁，而第三種方式則把渲染方式退回到web頁面的初期階段，即符合最初的web標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，完全可以顯示古董級頁面。為了與IE7保持兼容，IE8甚至調(diào)用了模擬IE7的方法。用戶需要點擊“7”按鈕來模擬現(xiàn)有的IE7。 微軟首席軟件設(shè)計師Ray Ozzie說，最初的計劃是使IE8使用IE7的默認(rèn)設(shè)置，但是該公司最后選擇了目前的web標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，他認(rèn)為： “這顯然是一個復(fù)雜的問題，有數(shù)十億網(wǎng)頁使用先前版本的瀏覽器兼容模式進行設(shè)計”但是另一方面，這樣做對網(wǎng)頁設(shè)計師有利“如果所有廠商優(yōu)先考慮普遍接受的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，那么就會促成演變” 目前微軟鼓勵內(nèi)容發(fā)布商在IE8測試階段更新自己的網(wǎng)站，以符合當(dāng)前的web標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。實際上不久前Opera的CTO曾認(rèn)為， IE8最終通不過Acid2測試 。

　　Activities（活動內(nèi)容服務(wù)）
　　WebSlices（網(wǎng)站訂閱）
　　Favorites Bar （收藏夾欄）
　　Automatic Crash Recovery （自動崩潰恢復(fù)）
　　Improved Phishing Filter （改進型反釣魚過濾器） 　　
Activities（活動內(nèi)容服務(wù)）
　　活動內(nèi)容服務(wù)，意味著用戶可以從網(wǎng)頁服務(wù)中快速存取服務(wù)，用戶通常對網(wǎng)頁的內(nèi)容進行復(fù)制粘貼，這里的情況是把網(wǎng)頁中內(nèi)容發(fā)送到一個web應(yīng)用程序中，例如，用戶在頁面看到一個餐廳地址，那么他就可以把看到的地址發(fā)送到地圖服務(wù)中去。而其他情況，例如用戶看到一篇有趣的文章，他也可以利用這項功能把部分文字發(fā)送到博客中去。關(guān)于活動服務(wù)的內(nèi)容，用戶可以安裝或管理。

WebSlices（網(wǎng)站訂閱）
　　WebSlices是一個新的功能，當(dāng)用戶接入網(wǎng)絡(luò)之后可以不打開網(wǎng)站查看訂閱內(nèi)容，WebSlices似乎與Feeds之類比較相似，微軟的演示為訂閱天氣預(yù)報。

Favorites Bar（收藏夾欄）
　　之前IE7的收藏夾已經(jīng)被擴展為一個完整的收藏夾欄，此欄目除了可以添加喜好的網(wǎng)站，
還可以加入包括word、excel、powerpoint文件的地址。


Automatic Crash Recovery （自動故障恢復(fù)）
　　IE系列瀏覽器的用戶實際上經(jīng)常能遇到IE瀏覽器崩潰的情況。再次打開IE之后，剛剛瀏覽的網(wǎng)頁沒有保存，你甚至不知道去那里找回它們。ACR自動故障恢復(fù)功能是IE 8瀏覽器的一個重要改進。當(dāng)IE瀏覽器崩潰，ACR會自動保存用戶瀏覽的頁面，并恢復(fù)它們。

　Improved Phishing Filter （改進型反釣魚過濾器）
　　IE7中提供的網(wǎng)絡(luò)反釣魚過濾器在新的IE 8中得到了發(fā)揚，當(dāng)用戶遇到可能的仿冒網(wǎng)站，此過濾器會彈出并警告用戶可能的威脅。并且新加入了“安全過濾”功能，這種安全過濾器除了繼續(xù)阻止已知的釣魚網(wǎng)站，還可以檢查已知的惡意軟件，以減少用戶個人信息失竊等問題。
